I'm heading to a nearby Microcenter to pick up the Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD. I'm planning to buy two of them for my first PC build, and I've already got 32GB of RAM (2x16 GB). Does anyone have insights on whether this SSD is a solid choice?

Absolutely, that's a solid SSD choice! Just make sure it fits well with your motherboard and CPU setup.

Thanks for the confirmation!

Since it's a PCIe 5.0 SSD, just double-check that your CPU can support it. For Intel, make sure you have a Z6 series board that supports 5.0, and for AMD, you need a B650 or better. If your setup only supports PCIe 4.0, you might want to look for a PCIe 4.0 SSD to save some cash. Think of it like having a sports car but only able to drive it at a normal speed—you're missing out on the full experience!

I have an AMD 7700X. How could I confirm it supports PCIe 5.0? I've been using PC Part Picker.
