Is the Wraith Spire Cooler Adequate for an AMD 5800X?

I'm upgrading my CPU from a Ryzen 1500X to a 5800X, and I think I have the Wraith Spire cooler, but I'm not entirely sure—could be the Stealth model. Given that I've been using the 1500X, I assume it's the Spire. I'm concerned about what might happen if my CPU temperature gets too high. Will it damage my CPU or cause my PC to fail dramatically? If I need to invest in a new cooler, I'd prefer something affordable and available from this site: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/category/components/cooling/cpu-air-cooling. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!

I recommend checking out the Pure Rock Pro 3; it's a great value for the performance you get.

Your CPU will throttle if it gets too hot, but it won't explode or anything drastic like that. Just be aware that the performance might drop down to the level of your old 1500X.

The Wraith Spire can technically handle the 5800X, but you're likely to see high temperatures around 80°C, especially during gaming, and you might hear the fan running constantly. If you're on a budget, consider the DEEPCOOL AK400 Black, which is around 49 NZD and should perform decently well. I previously used a Hyper 212 with the 5800X, and it managed 55-70°C under gaming loads.
