I'm trying to decide between two RAM options for my PC build: the Corsair Vengeance LPX and the Crucial Basics. The Corsair is designed for better performance, but the Crucial is around 30% cheaper. Would I notice a significant difference in performance if I go for the Crucial RAM instead of the Corsair?

Definitely go for the faster RAM, especially if you're gaming. It's also a good idea to use two sticks for dual channel performance, which can really help in gaming and multitasking.
When choosing RAM, keep these priorities in mind: 1. Use two sticks instead of one or three. 2. Look for higher clock speeds. 3. Aim for lower latency (CL#). Both of the kits you linked aren't ideal since they only offer one stick; consider finding a 2x8GB kit to gain better overall performance.

What do you mean by breaking the first priority? If I get two Corsair sticks, wouldn't that put me in dual channel?
