Is There a Compact USB-Powered PWM Fan Controller for Desk-Mounted Fans?

I'm looking for a neat setup that can power and control one or more 120mm or 140mm PWM fans on my desk to provide personal cooling. Ideally, the controller would run from USB so it could be disconnected easily, rather than being connected to a computer case fan controller. I have some room under my monitor, but not enough space for a conventional desk fan, and I'd prefer something that doesn't look too messy.

Noctua’s NV-FS1 is another option worth checking out. It’s made specifically for using a 120mm fan as a small personal desk fan, so it should be neater than mounting a loose PC fan.

I don’t really have space for a standard desk fan, but I can fit one or two 120mm or 140mm fans underneath my monitor.

There are also inexpensive USB fan adapters and speed controllers made for 120mm and 140mm fans. Just make sure the USB power source can provide enough current, especially if you plan to run more than one fan.

A regular desk fan would be the simplest solution, but that may not work if you don’t have enough room for one.
