I'm trying to understand how much of a performance difference I might see between the Ryzen 5 7600 and the Intel 14400F if I pair either of them with a 9060 XT while gaming at 1080p. Are they pretty similar in performance, or is one noticeably better?

Honestly, why would you run high-end specs on a 1080p setup? If you're getting 400fps in 1080p, that's quite excessive. Consider upgrading to a 1440p monitor to really get the most out of your gear!
You should definitely notice a big difference at 1080p. The 14400F will be significantly faster than the 7600, especially in demanding titles.
The 9060 XT does perform quite a bit better at that resolution. But just to clarify, if you're looking at the 7600 vs. 14400F, the 7600 is generally a bit snappier overall. Just keep in mind which games you play!
