Is there a way to make my PC think there’s no monitor connected?

I'm having a weird issue with a game on Steam where it only launches if I unplug my monitor beforehand. I don't want to keep doing this since my PC is under the desk and it's a hassle. Is there a program or a workaround that can trick my computer into thinking there's no monitor plugged in?

Consider getting an HDMI dummy plug. They’re designed to trick your PC into thinking a monitor is connected, which might let your game run without actual hardware changes, but it might not meet your specific needs.

Have you tried turning off your monitor? There’s usually a power button on the side or back. Some people say it works better than unplugging.

You might want to explore reinstalling your graphics drivers. Sometimes, they can cause strange issues like this. A fresh install can help resolve any conflicts that might be preventing your game from launching properly.

Instead of unplugging the monitor from the PC, how about unplugging it directly from the monitor? If it's more accessible, that could save you some hassle.
