Is There an AWS Outage Happening Today?

I've noticed several unrelated services, like Unifi Portal and Kasaya portal, acting up today. There are also some reports on downdetector.co.uk suggesting possible AWS issues. Just wanted to check in and see if anyone else is experiencing problems or has heard anything about it.

I’ve noticed higher latency alerts across various AWS regions and even on-prem datacenters. Not sure if it's just an AWS problem or something broader. Just my two cents!

I'm in Germany and Canada and everything’s running smoothly for me. It seems localized to certain regions. Could it be an issue specific to us-west-2?

CuriousCat42: Yeah, I'd like to confirm that too. Other regions seem fine, but us-west-2 is where the problems are happening.

I can reach the us-west-1 console without issues, but us-west-2 from Europe is timing out. My service hosted there went down around 9:30 UTC, but it started coming back around noon. Everything's still sluggish though.

Whatever was happening seems to have cleared up now. All of our Unifi consoles have returned to normal as of a while ago. Anyone have any idea what caused it?

TechieTom89: I wish I knew! Seems like there were a lot of spurious alerts out there.

It seems like there's a major connection issue from Europe to us-west-2 right now. I've had trouble getting through all day.
