Is There Any Hope for AWS CodeCommit After Its Deprecation?

I've been using AWS CodeCommit a lot lately and honestly, I really like its simplicity and how clean it is without all the extra community features. Plus, its integration with CodeBuild is pretty neat. However, I've just learned that AWS has deprecated it, and I'm concerned about its future. Does anyone share my passion for CodeCommit? Is there anything we can do to keep it going, or is it just a waiting game for it to be shut down?

Yeah, I agree that CodeCommit isn't great. With so many alternatives like GitHub, it's hard to justify sticking with it, especially now.

It's definitely frustrating. I still find it useful for certain situations, but with it being deprecated, I wouldn't store any important code there.

Honestly, I think it's unlikely that CodeCommit will be saved. It's been on the decline for a while, so we probably won't see it stick around much longer.

I get what you mean! It was nice having everything in one spot, especially when using CodeBuild to deploy infrastructure changes from a CodeCommit repo. But with the deprecation news, I'm not sure how much longer it’s going to last.

I hear you! I'm a fan too, but it seems like there’s probably no way to save it. Might be a good time to look into alternatives.
