I recently had my OPPO phone stolen, and I believe the thief did a factory reset to sell it. Unfortunately, I didn't back up my data, and I have precious photos, videos, and chats with my late father stored on it. I'm wondering if there's any way to recover that data after a factory reset, despite what I've read online.

Honestly, unless you're dealing with a pro recovery team, it's going to be tough. They usually can only recover data from damaged drives, not wiped ones. It's a long shot!
Unfortunately, once a factory reset is done, it's basically like the data disappears. If there’s even the tiniest chance to recover anything, it’ll probably cost you a lot. Just be cautious if you’re thinking of paying for the phone back; it might be safer to invest in a new device.
I'm really sorry to hear about your situation, but a factory reset basically wipes everything permanently. The only chance you might have is if there’s a skilled data recovery lab that can try to pull something back, but it can be expensive and isn’t guaranteed to work. If they really did reset your phone and you can afford it, I'd suggest just getting a new phone instead of dealing with the sellers.
