I'm completely new to building PCs and would appreciate a general sanity check on my parts list. I'm planning a fairly powerful system and understand that prices aren't ideal right now, but I'm comfortable paying extra for new components and convenience rather than constantly hunting for the lowest price. I'm still deciding between an RTX 5080 and an RTX 5070 Ti, so I'd especially like feedback on power requirements, storage, motherboard choice, and any compatibility or value concerns I may have overlooked.

Your storage choice may be worth reconsidering for the operating system. Some budget NVMe drives lack a DRAM cache, which can affect sustained performance and consistency. A drive with DRAM would be a stronger primary OS and application drive, while the current Kingston drive could still work well as a secondary game-storage drive.
I’d also double-check the motherboard choice against the alternatives in the revised list. A different board may offer better connectivity, power delivery, or upgrade options, but the right choice depends on the exact features you need. Don’t change it automatically without checking the specifications.
The main concern is the power supply. Since the graphics card can draw over 300W, I’d step up to a good-quality 1000W unit, especially if you choose the RTX 5080. The calculator estimate is useful, but it doesn’t always account for transient power spikes or leave much headroom for future upgrades.
That makes sense. I hadn’t looked closely enough at the recommended power ratings, so I’ll revise the PSU choice.
If you’re already spending for a top-tier graphics card, it may be worth comparing the cost of a stronger gaming-focused CPU as well. Depending on the games and resolution you’re targeting, moving up to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D-class processor could make sense, though it isn’t necessary for every workload.
That’s a fair point. I’ll compare the extra CPU cost against the performance benefit before finalizing the build.

I’m not familiar with DRAM caches yet, so I’ll read up on that. I may just use one 2TB drive since that has been plenty of space for me so far.
