Is This $1,235 First PC Build Worth It, and Should I Avoid Intel Arc?

I'm putting together my first gaming PC and honestly don't know enough to tell whether these parts are good or fairly priced. I've spent most of the day comparing components and currently have a build totaling about $1,235, including the PC, graphics card, and 1080p monitor. I mainly play Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft, but I'd like the option to try more games later. Is this a balanced build, and would a different graphics card be a better choice for the money?

The build is generally usable, but I’d be cautious with the Intel Arc A750. Arc cards can perform well, but compatibility and performance vary more depending on the game and settings. An RX 6600 XT would usually be a simpler choice for gaming if you can find one near the same price. An RX 6700 or 6700 XT would be even better if it fits your budget.

I mostly play Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft right now, but I do want to try more games later. I’ll compare those graphics cards—thanks for the suggestions.

I’d definitely look for an RX 6700 or 6700 XT before settling on the Arc card. They offer strong 1080p performance and generally have fewer game-specific issues. If those are too expensive, an RX 6600 or 6600 XT is still a solid match for this system. Used parts can save money, but only buy from someone you trust and test the hardware before paying.

I checked local used listings, but I’m not confident enough to know whether the parts are worth the asking price, and one seller seemed suspicious. I may stick with new parts unless I find a safe deal.

The Ryzen 5 5600X is still fine for a budget 1080p build, although the A520 motherboard is very basic. If a B550 board costs only a little more, it would give you better features and upgrade options. Also, 16GB of RAM works for your current games, but 32GB would be a worthwhile upgrade if the price difference is small. The 750W power supply has plenty of capacity, assuming it’s a reliable model.
