I'm new to building PCs and would appreciate some feedback before I buy these parts. My target budget is around $1,400, and I'm planning to purchase a Ryzen 5 7600X3D, Gigabyte motherboard, and 16GB memory bundle for $449.99. The parts list shows a higher total, but the actual cost should be about $1,471.05 with the bundle discount. I'd like a system that looks good running demanding games such as Cyberpunk 2077, while also handling competitive games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege. I also play Cities: Skylines II, which is very demanding, so the 7600X3D seemed appealing for that reason. The build includes a Radeon RX 9070 XT. Is this a balanced setup, and are there any parts I should change?

The Ryzen 5 7600X3D is a particularly sensible choice for Cities: Skylines II because the extra cache can help in simulation-heavy games. The main concern is the 16GB of memory from the bundle. It should work for now, but Cities: Skylines II can use a lot of RAM during large, late-game cities, so upgrading to 32GB would be a worthwhile priority when prices make sense.
The RX 9070 XT is capable of 4K gaming, but expectations should be realistic. You probably won’t get a locked 120 FPS at maximum settings in every modern game. Around 80 FPS across a broad selection of games is a more reasonable general expectation, with upscaling helping in heavier titles. For competitive shooters, performance at 1440p should be excellent.
I’d spend a little extra on a better CPU cooler, such as a Thermalright Phantom Spirit or Peerless Assassin. The upgrade should give you better temperatures and noise levels for a relatively small increase in cost.
This looks like a strong build overall, but I’d seriously consider a 1440p monitor instead of 4K. At this budget, 1440p will be much easier to run at high settings and high frame rates, while still looking excellent. The system should handle 4K in many games with upscaling, but native 4K in something as demanding as Cyberpunk may require reduced settings.
The single memory stick is also worth keeping in mind. It will run, but using two matching sticks is preferable for dual-channel performance. If the bundle only includes one, I’d plan to replace or supplement it with a matched 32GB kit.
