I'm trying to put together a new gaming PC with a budget below $2,000. The current parts list includes a Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 9070 XT, 16GB of DDR5-6000 memory, a 1TB mechanical hard drive, an AM5 motherboard, a 750W Gold-rated power supply, and an In Win 101 case. The estimated total is about $1,711, including Windows. I'd appreciate advice on compatibility, value, cooling, storage, airflow, and any parts that should be changed without exceeding my budget.

The RX 9070 XT is a strong choice if you’re targeting 1440p gaming, and the 750W Gold power supply should generally be reasonable for this setup. I’d only step down to a lower graphics card if upgrading to 32GB RAM, an NVMe SSD, and a better-airflow case pushes the price too high. Also check whether you already have a valid Windows license; buying another full retail copy may not be necessary.
There are better-balanced ways to spend the same money. For example, a Ryzen 7 7700X and motherboard bundle can replace the 7600X and board, while a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD replaces the mechanical drive. A slightly cheaper RX 9070 XT model can help keep the total near budget while giving you a stronger CPU and much faster storage.
Make sure the case has enough airflow and includes, or is paired with, several fans. The listed case may need additional fans, so a modern mesh-front case with fans included could be a better value. You could also consider a less expensive B650 motherboard instead of spending over $200 on the board, then put the savings toward a 32GB kit and a good NVMe SSD.
The biggest issue is the hard drive. Use an M.2 NVMe SSD as your boot and game drive; a mechanical hard drive will make Windows and newer games feel painfully slow. I’d also move to 32GB of RAM, since 16GB is becoming the minimum. The liquid cooler isn’t necessary for a Ryzen 5 7600X either—a decent air cooler should handle it unless you mainly want the look.

Some bundles include a 240mm liquid cooler, so using that could reduce the total further instead of buying the separate cooler.
