I'm planning to replace my eight-year-old PC, which is starting to fail. I'm considering this new build for about $800 in the US: an Intel Core i5-12400F, MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4 motherboard, Thermalright Assassin X120 Refined SE ARGB cooler, ASRock RX 7700 XT 12GB graphics card, Montech AIR 903 MAX case, and ASRock CL-750G 750W Gold power supply. I already have 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB SSD that I can reuse. The parts would be purchased new, and I have plenty of room for a large case. Noise is not a major concern, and I prefer an all-black build since I usually play in a dark room.

The build should fit your needs and the case has plenty of space. Since you already own compatible DDR4 memory and storage, reusing them keeps the cost down. The 750W Gold-rated power supply is also an appropriate capacity for the i5 and RX 7700 XT, assuming it is a reliable model.
Check the processor listing carefully: the parts list says i5-12400F, while one suggestion mentioned the i5-13400F. If you are actually using the 12400F, the aftermarket cooler is optional, but it can run quieter and cooler than the basic bundled cooler. If you meant the 13400F, verify whether a stock cooler is included before removing the extra cooler from the budget.
For around $800 in the US, this is a strong gaming-focused build, especially if the RX 7700 XT is genuinely available new at that total price. The graphics card is more powerful than what usually fits into an $800 system, so it should handle 1440p gaming well. Just make sure the total includes Windows, case fans, shipping, and any other parts you still need.
