I'm putting together my first gaming PC and would like some feedback before buying anything. My budget is roughly $1,500, but I'm not a particularly demanding gamer. I mostly play indie games, with Minecraft using shader packs probably being the most intensive title. Is this parts list well-balanced, or could I get significantly better performance for the same money?

There are better-balanced parts lists for this budget. A newer processor, a faster graphics card, and 32 GB of memory would give you much more room for Minecraft shaders and future games. Even dropping back to 16 GB temporarily would be reasonable if it lets you move up to a stronger GPU, since memory can be upgraded later.
I’d avoid a G-series processor when you already have a dedicated graphics card, since its integrated graphics aren’t helping much and the CPU can be slower. A gaming-focused X3D chip such as the 5500X3D or 5600X3D would be a better choice if priced reasonably. You could also consider a 5800X if it’s substantially cheaper. Look for a newer CPU, a faster GPU, and ideally 32 GB of RAM within this budget.
The build appears seriously overpriced for the performance. Getting only 16 GB of memory and an RTX 3060 at close to $1,500 leaves a lot of performance on the table. You should be able to find a prebuilt or build a custom system around $800–$1,000 that performs noticeably better, or use the full budget for a much stronger graphics card and newer platform.
The integrated graphics could still be useful as a backup if the dedicated GPU ever has a problem, but I agree that it probably isn’t worth sacrificing gaming performance for that feature.
