I'm planning a high-end PC mainly for 4K gaming and want to keep the platform for several years, upgrading the graphics card later if necessary. Does everything match well, and should this comfortably handle demanding upcoming games such as GTA 6?

A 5080 paired with this CPU should be far beyond what you need for current 4K gaming, and it should be a very strong setup for future demanding releases. No one can guarantee the exact performance of an unreleased game, but if a system at this level struggles badly, optimization will probably be part of the problem. I also wouldn’t plan around replacing the GPU after only one or two years unless you have a specific performance target; a high-end card may remain useful for much longer.
For a gaming-focused build, I’d choose the current mainstream 8-core X3D option rather than the 16-core 9950X3D. The main thing to reconsider is whether you want to pay for CPU cores and premium motherboard features that won’t affect 4K frame rates much. The GPU, power supply quality, cooling, and case airflow are the parts most directly relevant to your stated priorities.
