Is this €2,000 PC build a good choice for 1440p gaming?

I'm planning a new gaming PC for around €2,000 and would like feedback on the parts and value, especially for 1440p gaming. The build includes a Corsair 3200D RS ARGB case, Ryzen 7 7700X, Asus PRIME B650-PLUS WIFI motherboard, XFX Radeon RX 9070 OC 16GB, 32GB of DDR5-6400 CL32 memory, an ID-COOLING FROZN A410 air cooler, a 1TB SanDisk Extreme Pro PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD, and an MSI MAG A750GL PCIe 5 750W Gold modular power supply. I'm upgrading from a laptop with an RTX 3050, 512GB storage, and 16GB of DDR4. I'm based in Italy and use Linux. Is this balanced, and are there any parts I should change for better performance or value?

The main weakness is storage capacity rather than gaming performance. A 1TB drive works for the operating system and a handful of large games, but modern AAA titles can fill it quickly. Since you use Linux, check game compatibility and storage needs for your specific library, and consider a 2TB NVMe drive if the price difference is reasonable. The 750W Gold PSU should be sufficient for this CPU and GPU, provided it has the proper native graphics-card power connector.

I’d also verify the memory settings. DDR5-6400 may not be as plug-and-play on AM5 as DDR5-6000, so a 6000 MT/s kit with good timings can sometimes be the safer choice if stability becomes an issue.

The core performance should be excellent for 1440p, particularly the RX 9070. However, €2,000 sounds high for these parts unless Italian pricing or other costs are pushing it up. I’d compare the total against similarly equipped systems and check whether a Ryzen 7 7800X3D or 9800X3D is available at a reasonable price if gaming performance is the priority. Also make sure the motherboard BIOS supports the processor and that the cooler fits the case.
