I put together this PC in Vienna for just under €2,900 and would like to know whether it offers good value at current prices. My main use will be Adobe Creative Cloud, especially After Effects and Premiere Pro, but I also plan to use it for gaming. How many years do you think this system will remain suitable before I need to upgrade anything?
The build includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, 64GB of used Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-6000 CL36 memory, an MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16GB, a Corsair RM1000e 1000W power supply, a Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX motherboard, an ID-Cooling FX360 liquid cooler, a Lian Li Lancool 207RX case, a 1TB PCIe 5.0 Kioxia Exceria Plus G4 SSD for the operating system and software, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 Kioxia Exceria Plus G3 SSD for media cache and general storage.

The build should be very capable for both Premiere Pro and After Effects, as well as high-end gaming. That said, the value depends heavily on local pricing, especially the RTX 5080 and the unusually expensive RAM listing. Older platforms or alternative CPU combinations could reduce the total cost while giving up roughly 10–30% performance, depending on the workload. The unclear part is the reference to “270k,” so that comparison would need more detail before it can be evaluated properly.

What do you mean by “270k”? I’m not familiar with that processor or comparison.
