I'm not super knowledgeable about PC builds, just know the basics. My laptop gave out, and I'm really eager to jump back into gaming! I'm looking at this gaming PC: https://www.microcenter.com/product/686325/acer-nitro-50-n50-656-ur12-gaming-pc.
I mainly play older RTS games, but I also get into Path of Exile and Baldur's Gate 3, which are my most demanding titles. I've been thinking of trying out Valorant and Arc Raiders too, but my laptop died before I could really get going on them. Any advice on whether this PC is a good choice?

That PC isn't great for gaming, honestly. The key component to look at is the GPU, and this one has a 3050 with 6GB of VRAM, which struggles with most modern games. You might need to increase your budget or check the used market. Also, what monitor resolution are you planning to use? It helps to know what type of games you're looking to play to guide your specs.
You might want to reconsider that one! It’s an older model, and the GPU in it is pretty low-tier. I’d suggest checking out this option instead: https://www.microcenter.com/product/699677/powerspec-g528-gaming-pc. It should have better specs for gaming!
Glad to help! Hope you enjoy your new build!

Gotcha, didn’t realize that. I mainly play those older games and some newer ones on lower settings. I don't have a monitor yet—still figuring that out.
