Is this PC build good for 4K gaming at high settings?

I'm considering this gaming PC and want to know whether it can handle modern games at 4K with high settings. The build includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D, Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 cooler, Asus TUF B650-Plus WiFi motherboard, 32 GB of Corsair DDR5-6000 memory, a Radeon RX 9070 XT with 16 GB of VRAM, a 2 TB Samsung 990 Evo Plus NVMe SSD, a Fractal Design Pop Silent case, and an 850 W Corsair RM850e power supply. Are there any parts you would change for better value or long-term performance?

The 9070 XT averages roughly 70-plus FPS at 4K in broad game testing, so 4K at 60 FPS should generally be comfortable. Reaching 120 FPS will depend heavily on the game, but reducing a few settings and enabling upscaling can make it achievable.

Yes, the RX 9070 XT is well suited to 4K gaming. Around 60–90 FPS at high settings is realistic in many games, especially with upscaling such as FSR. If your budget allows, a higher-end graphics card would provide more headroom for demanding games and future titles, but the 9070 XT is still a solid choice.

The overall build is strong, but a few parts could be adjusted. The Dark Rock Pro 5 works, though a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 is often cheaper and performs very well on this platform. A newer B850 motherboard with PCIe 5.0 x16 could offer better long-term flexibility for similar money. The Samsung 990 Evo Plus is also more expensive than necessary for gaming; a good-value 2 TB NVMe drive would perform similarly in games. The RM850e is adequate and provides enough power, although it is one of Corsair’s more budget-oriented Gold models.
