Is this PC build still solid, or should I prioritize an upgrade?

I'm wondering whether this build is considered outdated by current standards and, if so, which components should be upgraded first. The system includes a Ryzen 5 5600, be quiet! Pure Rock 2 cooler, MSI B550 Gaming Gen3 motherboard, 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe SSD, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB graphics card, 32GB of Kingston DDR4-3200 memory, and a be quiet! System Power 9 500W 80+ Bronze power supply. Are there any obvious weaknesses, especially for gaming, or is it still a well-balanced system?

The build is still solid overall, but the power supply would be my first concern. A reliable 650W Gold-rated model would be a sensible replacement for the current 500W unit. The exact wattage depends on your future graphics card choice, but even an 850W supply should cover most high-end upgrades short of an especially power-hungry card. Beyond the PSU, upgrade the GPU only when your current one no longer delivers the performance you want; there’s no urgent need to replace the CPU, memory, storage, or motherboard.

Thanks! That helps a lot.

This definitely isn’t a brick. The Ryzen 5 5600, 32GB of RAM, and RX 6700 XT still make a capable gaming system. The main part I’d consider replacing is the power supply, since 500W is a little close for that graphics card depending on the rest of the system. The GPU only needs an upgrade if you’re unhappy with your frame rates or want to play at a higher resolution. For a replacement PSU, look for a reputable 650W unit with an 80+ Gold rating. If you plan to install a much more powerful future GPU, 750W or 850W could provide more headroom.

Thanks for the review! Do you have any specific PSU and GPU models I should look into?
