Is This Ryzen 5 5600GT and RTX 3050 Build Balanced for a Budget PC?

I'm putting together a PC through a local computer shop and was given this parts list: Ryzen 5 5600GT, MSI MAG A520M Vector WiFi motherboard, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, ASUS RTX 3050 6GB, a 650W Bronze-rated power supply, an ARGB case, and an ARGB air cooler. Is this a sensible and balanced build, or are there better parts I should choose? I'm especially unsure about the processor, graphics card, motherboard, and power supply. The total price and intended use should also be considered, but I'd like general advice before buying.

Iโd avoid the RTX 3050 if possible. Look at other new budget cards or a reputable used GPU, depending on local prices. A stronger used card can offer much better 1080p performance, but then the power supply becomes even more important.

The power supply is the part Iโd question most. Donโt choose an unfamiliar 650W unit just because the wattage looks sufficient. Pick a reliable, independently reviewed Bronze or better model from a reputable manufacturer. Also, the PCIe 4.0 SSD will work in that A520 board, but it will be limited by the boardโs PCIe 3.0 support, so a cheaper PCIe 3.0 drive may provide better value.

The build is acceptable only if itโs being sold at a genuinely low budget price. The exact cost, your country, and what you want to do with the PC matter a lot. For modern AAA gaming, though, the RTX 3050 6GB is a weak choice and its limited VRAM may cause problems in newer games.

Since youโre installing a dedicated graphics card, the Ryzen 5 5600GTโs integrated graphics arenโt useful here. A regular Ryzen 5 5600 is usually the better option: it can be cheaper and has more L3 cache, which helps performance. Make sure the motherboard BIOS supports whichever processor you choose.
