I'm considering upgrading from my 6600 XT. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 700w power supply. I mostly game at 1080p and have been looking at the 7800 XT and 3080 Ti, but I've heard a lot of good things about the 9060 XT. Is this upgrade worth it?

At 1080p, the 9060 XT should perform well and handle most games with newer features. However, if you're considering 1440p, you might find that the 7800 XT outperforms it.

It really depends on your settings and how long you want to keep your card. If you're looking for a significant performance bump, I suggest either sticking with what you have or looking for a GPU upgrade that will give you that boost. I upgraded from a 6600 XT to a 5070, but that one was quite pricey.

I personally think going for the 9060 XT is worth it, especially if you're considering the 16GB version. Not only do you get a newer card, but you also have double the VRAM, access to features like FSR4, and improved ray tracing. It averages about 30% better performance, and it's great for 1440p gaming too!

The 7800 XT usually has more raw power, so if you can snag it for a better price, that might be the way to go.
