Is Upgrading from a 7600X to a 7800X3D a Smart Move?

I'm currently using a 7600X paired with a 9070XT, and while I know the 7600X is a solid CPU, I've been seeing it hit 100% utilization while my GPU sits around 85-90%. I've experienced some stuttering in games like Battlefield 6, mostly playing at 1440p. I'm wondering if making the switch to a 7800X3D would be a worthwhile investment or if it's just going to be a waste of cash.

For Battlefield 6, that's definitely an upgrade worth considering! The game is quite CPU intensive, so moving to the 7800X3D should help eliminate those performance stutters you’ve been experiencing.

It really depends on the specific games you're playing. For BF6, the upgrade is totally worth it because it's very demanding on the CPU. Even at higher resolutions, like 3440x1440p, I found my CPU bottlenecking in BF6 despite a powerful setup with the 7800X3D and 9070XT.

Absolutely, going for the X3D chip will make a noticeable difference! If you can find a 9800X3D for just a bit more, that might be worth considering too. It’ll give you some extra performance, especially if you plan to push the limits of gaming.

From what I’ve seen, the cheapest 9800X3D is about $382, while the 7800X3D is $300. Do you think the extra $82 is justified?
