Hey everyone! I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 5700x with an RTX 3070 (8GB) and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. A couple of months ago, I got a new 280Hz 1440p OLED monitor. While I'm not getting 280fps in most games, that's okay with me. I've received a $200 Amazon gift card for Christmas and have been considering getting an RTX 5070. My main game is Battlefield 6, and I've also been playing Rocket League. In Battlefield 6, I'm running on low graphics settings with Frame Gen just to keep my FPS above 120. So, I'm wondering: Would it be worth upgrading from the RTX 3070 to the RTX 5070? Will I see a significant boost in FPS? Also, can my current CPU and RAM sufficiently leverage what the RTX 5070 can do? Thanks for your help!

Honestly, if you have a 3070, it might be better to aim for a 5070 Ti at least. An upgrade to the 5070 alone might not be worth it otherwise.
Your current setup should easily handle a 5070, so you should be good to go with that upgrade.
Thanks for the reassurance!
Upgrading is definitely a solid choice! Your CPU should perform well with the new graphics card, and depending on the game, you could expect around a 40% increase in FPS.
I appreciate your input! A 40% increase sounds promising.
You'll likely see a modest improvement. A lot depends on your CPU; in Battlefield 6, CPU performance can bottleneck the GPU. I have a 5900x and a 7900XTX, and my CPU can hold back my frame rates by around 20fps. Your 5700x might be doing something similar. Unfortunately, upgrading to AM5 with DDR5 is pretty expensive right now. I wouldn't expect a huge jump in performance that would be super satisfying.
Thanks for the insight! I agree, an AM5 upgrade isn't practical for me at the moment.

Thank you for the tip!
