I'm currently using an RX 580 and I'm considering an upgrade to an RTX 5060. I've heard a lot about potential bottlenecks, but honestly, I'm not well-versed in that tech jargon. I just want to play games with better performance. Is this upgrade a bad choice?

I say upgrade and enjoy it! You'll see your performance go up from the RX 580 to the RTX 5060. Even if there are bottlenecks, it's still an improvement overall!

Upgrading from RX 580 to RTX 5060 is definitely a significant upgrade! You should notice much better performance in games across the board. No worries about that!

Just a heads-up! What's your motherboard? The RTX 5060 really does not play well with PCIe 3.0 since it only has 8 lanes. It's better suited for PCIe 5.0. If your setup is on PCIe 3.0, consider either a card with 16x lanes or the 5060 Ti with 16GB, which can handle slower speeds better. You might find this video helpful for more info! Yes, there will be some bottlenecks, but honestly, who cares? You can always upgrade later. If you're gaming at 1440p, the bottleneck won't be too noticeable either, plus the 8GB of VRAM is a limitation, but you'll definitely see improvements!

Just letting you know, it will experience some CPU bottlenecks, meaning your CPU may struggle a bit to keep up with the GPU. However, it shouldn't be severe. Given the crazy prices on components right now, I'd say just go for it!
