Hey everyone! I built my PC back in late 2019, and while it was a solid mid-range setup at the time, I've noticed it's starting to lag a bit with newer games. Here are my specs:
- Nvidia GTX 1660ti
- Ryzen 5 2600X
- 2x8gb DDR4-3000
- Gigabyte Aorus B450M
I'm thinking about upgrading, but I'm not ready to drop £1500 all at once for a completely new build. So, I'm considering doing it in stages. For the first phase, I'm looking at getting an RX 9060XT, a bigger case, and a new CPU cooler since I'm still using the stock Wraith Spire cooler. I might also replace my PSU in this first upgrade.
Then, for the second phase a few months later, I want to go for a new 9th gen Ryzen, a new motherboard, and 32gb DDR5 RAM, plus maybe a new SSD.
What do you think about this upgrade path? Also, do you think DDR5 prices will go up? And am I going to face any serious bottleneck issues with my current CPU and GPU until I get to phase two?

I had a Ryzen 5 3600 with the 9060XT, and honestly, the bottleneck was minor. It only affected a few games, and otherwise, the GPU was running at 80-90% usage or even maxed out. You should be fine with your setup initially until you upgrade the CPU!

That's reassuring! How has the driver support been for the 9060XT?
