I'm considering upgrading from my 7800 XT to a 5070 Ti because I found one from a friend for just $500. If I sell my 7800 XT, I can get about $450, which makes the upgrade pretty affordable. However, I'm concerned that my CPU (the 5700X3D) and AM4 platform might hold back the performance of the new GPU. Do you think it's worth making this upgrade given the potential bottlenecks?

You should totally take that deal! Any bottleneck you experience will likely be negligible, especially at higher resolutions. Plus, the performance boost from upgrading your GPU will be noticeable. Go for it!
If you're gaming at 1080p, you might run into some bottlenecks due to the CPU, but for that price, it's still a solid upgrade. At 1440p, the bottleneck should be minimal. Seriously consider upgrading to at least 1440p so you can maximize the GPU’s potential—especially at such a great price!
I have a 5700X (not the 3D) and it runs great with my 9070 XT at 3440x1440p, so I doubt you'll face major issues with the 5070 Ti. Just make sure you're not gaming at 1080p all the time, as that can create more of a bottleneck. If you’re gaming at 1440p or higher, you should be fine!
I’ve been gaming at 1440p too and it’s been smooth sailing!
Honestly, the 5700X3D shouldn't bottleneck the 5070 Ti. Even if it does hold it back slightly, the deal on that GPU is too good to pass up. You can always tweak your graphics settings or upgrade your CPU later if needed, but with that price, you're getting a solid card. It’s a worthwhile investment in my opinion!
I was running a similar setup with a 5700X and 5070 Ti at 4K on a big TV, and I had no issues at all. The CPU is still pretty capable, so unless you slam into extremely CPU-heavy titles at low resolutions, you should be good!

Yeah, I've been at 1440p for a while now and it's made a huge difference!
