Is upgrading to a 5800X3D a smart choice right now?

I'm currently using a 3070 Ti paired with a Ryzen 7 3700X. I have the chance to upgrade to a 5800X3D, but I can't really afford to switch to an AM5 setup at the moment, so I'm limited to AM4 for now. I mostly play games like Escape from Tarkov, Destiny 2, and Where Winds Meet. What do you all think about this upgrade?

For gaming, the 5800X3D is the best processor you can get on AM4. It even performs better than most non-X3D AM5 CPUs. You wonโt regret it!

Itโs a big jump for sure! Just a heads up, the 5800X3D can be tough to find at reasonable prices. If you can snag a good deal, go for it!
BudgetBuilder: I actually have a friend selling one for $280 as heโs upgrading! Seems like a fair price.

GameGuru45: True, the 7700/7700X is similar in performance. It's impressive how the 5800X3D can match them in gaming. Definitely a solid choice.
