I recently snagged an awesome deal for a Microcenter bundle that includes a MATX AM5 motherboard, 1x16 DDR5 RAM, and a 7500x3d CPU for just $299. I'm starting to wonder if the 7500x3d might hold back my system's performance, especially since a 7800x3d is just a bit more expensive and offers a roughly 10% performance boost. Should I consider upgrading to a better CPU? If so, what alternatives would you recommend? I'm also curious about the best strategies for either selling or trading my current CPU, as shipping might pose a challenge for me. Any tips?

It depends on your gaming resolution. If you're looking to upscale from 1080p to something higher, like 1440p, then the 7500x3d might start to limit you, especially with a 9070xt GPU.

That's exactly what I found! In tests from HW Unboxed, the 7800x3d showed a noticeable uplift, but it might not be worth the hassle if trade or selling isn't easy.
