I currently have a setup with a Ryzen 5800X3D CPU and a Radeon 7900XTX GPU. Most of the games I play are CPU-intensive, and I'm concerned that my current CPU isn't allowing my GPU to perform at its best. Would it be a good idea to upgrade to the 9800X3D?

Yeah, 1080p generally leans more towards CPU limitations, so unless you're hitting a wall in performance, the upgrade might not be necessary. But if you want to future-proof or play more demanding games, then it could be worth considering.
What's your gaming resolution? Upgrading might not have a huge impact if you're playing at 1080p since not many titles are truly CPU bottlenecked by the 5800X3D.
