Is Using Pigtail Cables for My GPU a Bad Idea?

Hey everyone! I just finished building my first PC, and while it seems to be working well, I've come across some information online that says using pigtail PCIe connections for the two 8-pin connectors on my graphics card might not be the best idea. My power supply came with two PCIe connectors, but they are both pigtails. Should I go ahead and use both pigtails while letting the other ends dangle? Also, is there a specific 6+2 pin connector I should use on the pigtail, or does it not really matter?

You can definitely just let the pigtails dangle if you're using both cables. It won't cause any issues if you zip tie them to keep things neat. No worries there!

Thanks for the tip! Just to clarify, there isn't a specific 6+2 pin I need to use on the pigtail, right?
