Is Ventoy a Good Choice for Installing Elementary OS Instead of Etcher?

I'm planning to install Elementary OS and I've heard that the official recommendation is to use Etcher (Balena). However, Etcher has been a troublemaker for me and hasn't worked on my PC. I'm thinking about using Ventoy instead. Do you think it will work, or should I be worried about running into issues?

I've had success using Ventoy with most Linux distros, including Elementary OS since it's based on Ubuntu LTS. So I’d say give it a go! Just keep in mind that some distros might not play nice with Ventoy, but typically, it should work fine for you.

Honestly, Balena Etcher has become pretty unreliable lately, so I wouldn’t bother with it. Ventoy is a decent option but can have its quirks. If you do encounter issues, try using the GRUB mode when booting. It might help!

What exactly is GRUB mode? Is it activated through the BIOS?
