I really enjoy using W3Schools because its C++ explanations are short, clear, and easy to follow. However, I keep seeing people say that some of its examples are unusual or inaccurate and that the learning structure does not follow a good syllabus. How reliable is W3Schools for learning C++, and what should I watch out for?

Most of the material is probably fine for basic examples, but there can be inaccuracies or questionable practices if you look closely. Treat the examples as a starting point, then verify anything important against reputable C++ documentation or another well-reviewed learning resource.

That makes sense. Are there particular kinds of mistakes I should be especially careful about?

W3Schools can be useful for quickly reviewing fundamentals, and plenty of developers have used it at some point. It is not necessarily a bad resource, but it should not be your only source. More detailed books, courses, and documentation can explain the language's concepts and best practices more thoroughly.

If the concise format helps you stay motivated, keep using it for quick explanations and syntax reminders. For actually building strong C++ skills, combine it with a structured course or book, practice projects, and resources that cover modern C++ rather than only isolated language features.
