I recently bought Exchange SE with 200 CALs and SA, and the vendor submitted the activation details to my "Alternate ID" email. However, I can't complete the registration process because when I try to log in using the link they provided, it shows my main UPN email associated with our Entra Tenant instead. If I log in with the Alternate ID email, I get an error saying, "An error occurred while setting up your profile. Please refresh the page to try again." Has anyone else encountered this issue with Volume Licensing? I wonder if the vendor will need to cancel the order with Microsoft and reissue it under the UPN. I've opened a support ticket with Microsoft, but it hasn't been helpful so far.

When we place orders, it’s crucial that we tie them to the right tenant. Did the vendor have the correct tenant information when they ordered? That might be worth double-checking.
It's possible that the licenses are linked to a different contact or tenant entirely. Sometimes vendors can screw this up without realizing it. Have they confirmed which agreement those licenses are tied to?
Logging into Microsoft's sites can be really tricky sometimes. Have you tried using a private browsing window or a different browser? That can sometimes help with issues when activating licenses. More often than not, that solves weird login problems. Good luck!
Yeah, I've tried all that and it's still messing up. It fails the same way no matter if I use the UPN or the Alternate ID.
Same here, I’m convinced they need to do some merging of the VL info with the UPN account, which is ridiculous!

They had the Alternate ID email, which is linked to the UPN, so it should be the same tenant ID. Seems like something went wrong on their end.
