Issues Swiping Out of Apps on My New iPad

I recently bought a brand new iPad Air 11 M4 and everything was going smoothly until I got a folio case from TikTok Shop. Now, when I try to swipe out of apps while the iPad is propped up sideways on my bed or in the case, the swipe gesture doesn't seem to register unless I use my thumb. It works perfectly with my thumb, but any other finger seems unresponsive. Initially, I thought it might be the case's magnets interfering with the touchscreen, especially since it feels a bit unresponsive sometimes. I also started experiencing this issue around the same time I applied a screen protector. I don't want to test if the screen protector is the problem since it's my last one. If anyone has encountered this issue or has any insights, I would really appreciate your help—I'm losing sleep over this!

I personally don’t see the need for a screen protector on an iPad, but I understand where you’re coming from. If you’re worried about drops, maybe consider just a good case and skip the protector? I've never had issues with scratches on mine.

It sounds like the screen protector or the case might be causing the issue. Some screen protectors can interfere with touch sensitivity, especially if they're not the right fit. You could try removing the screen protector to see if that helps. Also, make sure the case isn't pressing down on the iPad in a way that could affect touch responses.

It's odd that it works with your thumb but not your other fingers. I've seen some cases that mess with the responsiveness, so testing without the case might be a good idea. If it still doesn’t work, it could be a software issue or a problem with the iPad's touch sensors.
