I plugged in my headphones recently, and since then, my laptop's audio hasn't been working at all. It shows that the output device is Realtek (R), but I've even tried redownloading DirectX and that didn't help. What should I do to fix this?

It sounds like you might need to look into your audio settings. If Realtek (R) is the only output device listed, that could be an issue. Try updating the audio drivers; that might help.
Have you checked your default audio device settings? Sometimes after plugging in headphones, the laptop might default to that instead of the speakers.
