I requested an express replacement for my iPhone 16 Pro on March 29, but I haven't received any updates. I checked in with support on April 5, and they assured me that it was on the way. Then, out of nowhere, on April 7, the temporary hold of €1539 was released back to my account, and I still had no shipment details. After reaching out again, they told me they would cancel the original replacement order and create a new one. Surprisingly, later that same day, I got an email saying that my original replacement had shipped, and now I've received it but wasn't charged a new hold. I'm curious about the consequences if I don't return my old iPhone by April 22. Has anyone else dealt with a situation like this where the hold was released before sending back the original device?

You should definitely call support about this! They can connect you with customer relations to clarify your situation. It's best to get confirmation on what to do next.
If you don’t send the old phone back, you will likely be charged. They don’t just let you keep devices for free, even if the hold is released, so keep that in mind!
So even if the hold is closed, I still need to return the old phone to avoid charges?

But what I really need to know is if I can keep both iPhones without getting flagged or charged the €1539.
