Issues with New RTX 5070Ti Installation on Z-790 Motherboard

I recently upgraded my setup with a brand new MSI RTX 5070Ti Expert OC, but I'm having trouble getting it to work with my ASUS Prime Z-790-V AX motherboard. While my previous Nvidia 3090Ti FE runs perfectly fine, the new GPU powers up but doesn't output any video signal. I've tried reseating the GPU, adjusting BIOS settings related to PCIe Gen 5.0, disabling fast boot, using the motherboard's HDMI output, removing an M.2 NVMe drive to check for lane-sharing issues, and ensuring the PSU connections are correct. My CPU is an Intel i9 12900K, so I doubt it's an OS problem. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

It sounds like your GPU might be faulty. It's pretty common for people to assume incompatibility before checking for defects, but sometimes a brand new card can just be borked. If possible, try testing the RTX 5070Ti in a different system to see if the issue persists. Good luck!

Yeah, I agree. It's always good to eliminate variables. Testing it in another machine would definitely help identify if it's the card or something else.

Thanks! I had the same thought; I’ll borrow a friend's setup and see if it works there.

I recommend checking the GPU in a different system to rule out any compatibility issues. Process of elimination can really help isolate the problem. Best of luck!
