Issues with Quick Assist Not Connecting

I've been trying to use Quick Assist to help my parents with their computer issues, but I keep getting a frustrating error message saying that security requirements are not met. There's no specific information on what exactly isn't being met, and it's really annoying that a Microsoft product is suddenly not working without any clear fix. I've gone through various troubleshooting steps like reinstalling and repairing the app, and I checked my TLS settings to ensure they are at 3.0 or above. Just to clarify, neither of us is using a VPN or has any VPN software installed. Has anyone else faced this issue recently?

It sounds like you might want to double-check that neither computer is on a VPN. If one of them is, try disconnecting and then see if you can connect again. Sometimes VPNs can block the connection, even if you think it's off.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I checked, and neither of us is using a VPN at all.

I get your frustration; I ran into a similar issue myself. Have you tried looking at your firewall settings? Sometimes, they can interfere with Quick Assist. If that doesn't help, reaching out to MS support might be the way to go. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I'll look into the firewall settings to see if that might be the problem.
