Keys Stopping Working on Bodhi Linux with Asus E203M – Any Ideas?

I've been experiencing an annoying issue for several months where certain keys on my Asus E203M laptop running Bodhi Linux stop working randomly. Specifically, the D, 3, backspace, and arrow keys will just stop responding out of the blue, and then they might start working again on their own. I'm looking for any insights on what could be causing this problem or how I might fix it. Thanks in advance!

You might want to test it using a live system. That means booting from a USB with a different OS to see if the keys work there. I suspect it could be a hardware problem too, but testing that way could confirm it.

Can you explain what a live system is? I'm not familiar with that.

It sounds like this might be a hardware issue. Have you thought about trying a different keyboard to see if the problem persists? It could help narrow down the cause.
