I have an Omen gaming laptop with an Intel Core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card. It is about two years old and has been working normally until this past week. Now the entire system briefly freezes when I scroll, open webpages, or type, sometimes catching up several seconds later. Games are even worse, with a one- or two-second freeze roughly every ten seconds, making them unplayable. Restarting initially helped, but it no longer does. Startup is still quick, there are no pending updates, and I have not installed anything suspicious. Temperatures appear normal at around 60°C during regular use and 76–80°C while gaming. What should I check to find the cause?

If the laptop has unusual memory or BIOS settings, load the BIOS defaults and temporarily disable fast boot. Then test in Safe Mode or with a clean startup to see whether a driver or background program is responsible. A CPU or memory stress test such as Prime95 or Cinebench can help reveal hardware instability, but stop if temperatures become excessive.
Start by checking the system while the stutter happens. Task Manager can show whether the CPU, memory, disk, or GPU suddenly spikes. HWiNFO64 is also useful for monitoring temperatures, clocks, power limits, and hardware errors. The temperatures you listed do not sound high enough by themselves to explain the problem.
