My Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming with an Intel Core i5-9300HF and GTX 1650 powers on—fans spin, LEDs light up, and the CPU, GPU, and RAM become slightly warm—but the display remains completely black. There is no Lenovo logo, backlight, or even a faint image. The problem appeared after I changed the BIOS performance profile from Quiet Mode to High Performance Mode. I also cannot enter the BIOS, including through the Novo button. What should I check to determine whether this is a display connection issue or a more serious boot or motherboard problem?

If the screen never shows even a faint glow or any change in pixels, the display cable or panel is a reasonable first suspect. Power the laptop off completely, disconnect the charger, and inspect or reseat the internal display ribbon cable if you’re comfortable opening it. Also try an external monitor or TV through HDMI. If the external display works, the laptop is probably booting and the issue is limited to the panel, cable, or backlight.
I already tried starting it normally and even removed the battery, but the screen still stays completely black.
