When I press the power button on my Lenovo laptop, the power indicator, keyboard backlight, and fans turn on, but the screen stays completely blank. The Caps Lock and Num Lock indicators do not respond, and external devices do not appear to receive power either—for example, the RGB lights on my mouse remain off.
I have tried repeatedly pressing F2 to enter the BIOS, connecting an external monitor, and disconnecting the charger before holding the power button for 40–60 seconds. None of these made a difference. I also tried locating the battery so I could disconnect it, but it appears to be mounted internally on the motherboard. Initially, the fans shut off after a few seconds, but now they remain running continuously.
Is there another reset or troubleshooting step I can try, or does this indicate a serious motherboard or hardware failure?

You may need to perform a full power reset by opening the bottom cover and disconnecting the internal battery from the motherboard. Unplug the AC adapter first, then disconnect the battery for several minutes before reconnecting it and trying to start the laptop again. If the model has a separate CMOS battery, disconnecting that temporarily may also help reset the firmware. Since there is no display, no responsive keyboard indicators, and no power to USB devices, the problem may be occurring before the system even reaches the BIOS.

I removed all the screws, but I still cannot get the bottom cover off without feeling like I might crack or break the case. I have not been able to reach the motherboard or disconnect the battery yet.
