Looking for a budget GPU for UE5 games

I'm currently using a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti and it's really struggling with newer games. I'm on a budget and need a cost-effective upgrade, ideally something under $300 but I could stretch a bit higher. My goal is to avoid stutters and frame drops in UE5 games. I've heard that AMD might offer good options for what I'm looking for. Any recommendations?

The 9060 XT is a great option if you can nudge your budget a bit. It should give you decent performance. Also, consider adding a cooler to your CPU; it could help with any throttling. Overclocking that i7 3770 could bring some better performance too!

Honestly, if you're looking for something that won't bottleneck your system, any GPU starting from the RTX 2060 or newer would be a significant upgrade from your 1050 Ti. Aim for at least 6GB of VRAM, and if you can find an 8GB GPU for a good price, that’d be ideal. Just keep in mind that some older cards like the RTX 2060 don’t handle DX12 as well as newer ones, so researching compatibility is key.

If you can stretch your budget to around $350, the RX 9060 XT with 16GB is a solid choice. It should handle newer games pretty well without breaking the bank. Just be mindful of availability as prices can vary.

Definitely seconding the RX 9060 XT; it seems to be the hot pick for budget builds!

Frequent stutters might not just be the GPU—it could also be your CPU. What are you currently using? If it's outdated, it might hold back any new GPU you get. Also, check your power supply to ensure it can handle a new card.

I have an Intel Core i7 3770, but I'm not sure about my power supply.

If you're gaming at 1080p, the RX 9060 XT is likely your best bet right now. It won't be mind-blowing, but it should deliver a solid experience for the price. Just prepare yourself for some limitations depending on the games you want to play.
