Looking for a Free Alternative to Postman for Batch Processing

Hey everyone! It seems like Postman's latest update has really limited the capabilities for free users. I used to be able to run collections with a local CSV file without too much hassle, but now they've imposed stricter limitations and cut off that feature unless you pay. I don't need it often enoughโmaybe two or three times a monthโto justify spending 108โฌ a year for the plan. So, I'm on the hunt for an alternative that allows for CSV-based batch processing without any hidden fees or cloud requirements. Any suggestions for open-source tools that could help?

Take a look at Voidenโit's open-source and has recently been released. You can check their documentation for getting started with Postman imports.

You might want to consider writing a simple Python script to handle those HTTP requests. It gives you a lot of flexibility in how to manage your requests, and it's quite manageable! Plus, there are tools like LLMs that can help generate the code if you need it.

I found that Bruno also has some limitations, especially with CSV batch processing. But you could try using the CLI scripts it offers.

For direct installations without logging in or other nonsense, you might want to try the REST Client extension for VS Code. It's really ergonomic once you get the hang of it.
