Looking for a Replacement for My RX 6900XT

My RX 6900XT GPU just died, and I need a reliable replacement. Ideally, I want something that matches or exceeds its performance. I thought I could nurse it along, but it started malfunctioning badly after just two weeks, even after repairs. I'll be using it to run stuff on my G9 Odyssey, so power is crucial. Budget is not a significant concern, but I'd like to stay around €1000/USD. I don't mind the brand—I've had both AMD and Nvidia and I've had issues with both. I'm not particularly interested in ray tracing capabilities, though it would be nice to avoid that frustrating dip to 23fps that my AMD card gives. I'm looking for solid options without overspending. By the way, I've decided on the RX 9070XT, which should arrive today. I'm just hoping my current card holds out until then!

Honestly, if you’re coming from a 6900 XT, the 9070 XT isn’t a huge step up. I used to have a 6900 XT too, and I think cards in the same price range, like the 5080, would be more worthwhile.

True, but my card seems to be toast. The 5080 is way too pricey at around 1600 USD, so I’m sticking with the 9070XT for now.

The 9070XT is a solid upgrade compared to the 6900XT. Just be aware that it's more of a side grade if you're looking at the standard RX 9070. Hope you get your new card soon!

Thanks! I'm already looking into the XT version, hoping it arrives soon.

I’d also recommend considering the 9070 XT or the 5070 Ti. Nvidia does offer better ray tracing support, but the difference isn't huge these days. It really depends on your specific needs!

I appreciate the Nvidia suggestion! So are you saying AMD has improved their ray tracing performance recently?
