I'm trying to fit a new build into a tight space under my left desk drawer. I'm planning to use it for development work and gaming. The dimensions I'm working with are quite limiting, so I would appreciate any suggestions you might have. Here are the components I'm planning to use:
- Full ATX motherboard (X870E)
- RTX 5080 GPU
- An AIO cooler for my CPU (AMD Ryzen 9 9950X)
The space available for the case is:
- 250mm width (the left side is flush against the wall, while the right side has open airflow)
- 407mm height (no top airflow can be accommodated at this height)
- 635mm depth (both the front and back have full airflow)
The closest option I found is the Jonsbo D41 STD Black, but I'm concerned about whether bottom-mounting the AIO will work with such a large GPU. I can't top mount it because the case is exactly 407mm tall with the feet, which means I need bottom intake. Ideally, I'd love a longer option where I could front mount the AIO since I have plenty of depth. Can anyone suggest other Full ATX cases that fit the dimensions of 250mm width, 407mm height, and 635mm depth?

The D41 could be your best bet, but keep in mind that bottom mounting an AIO can lead to air issues since the pump is the highest point, which isn't great for cooling. If you're set on that case, consider switching to a big air cooler instead. The AMD 9950X does well with a decent dual-tower cooler, especially if you’re worried about the AIO mounting.
Yeah, you might want to ensure you have enough clearance above for airflow. Too much pressure at the top could cause heat buildup, especially with the AIO fans pushing up. Keep airflow front to back!
If you really need the extra PCIe lanes for your setup, consider larger SSDs or even a NAS setup for storage. It could save you a lot of hassle with mounting issues and case clearance!
Have you looked into the Cougar Archon 2 Mesh? It might fit your size constraints while still offering good airflow.
Have you thought about going with a micro ATX instead of a full ATX? That could really open up your options for a case! For example, the Gigabyte X870M AORUS ELITE gives you the dual USB4 and WiFi 7, or if you're after more M.2 slots, the Asus ROG STRIX B850-G GAMING has four!

Thanks for the tip! I’m worried about air getting trapped in the lines with a bottom mount, but dropping the feet is an interesting idea. I might lose some GPU cooling, but I could get good airflow from the front if it’s well-ventilated.
