Hey everyone! I'm getting back into PC gaming after some time away. My last build was pretty outdated (with an i5-7500 and a 1060 6GB) which I dismantled a while back after losing interest. Now I want to build something solid that can last a few years. I'm thinking about a setup with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, an RX 9060 XT 16GB graphics card, and 32GB of RAM. Do you think this would be a good choice for longevity? Thanks for your insights! 🙂

What resolution will you be gaming at—1080p or 1440p? If it’s mostly 1080p, you could also consider the 9600X CPU as a solid option.
I’d recommend going with an RX 9070 XT instead of the 9060. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is currently one of the best CPUs for gaming, so you’re on the right track!
Thanks for the suggestion! What are the real differences between the 9060 and the 9070?
Definitely go for the 9070 XT over the 9060. You can save some money by opting for the Ryzen 7800X3D instead of the 9800X3D. Both CPUs are amazing and should last you a long time, plus the 9800X3D isn’t significantly faster—just about 10% more.
Great advice! Do you have any brand recommendations, or is it pretty straightforward?

Primarily 1080p!
