Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my 9-year-old PC and want to get some feedback before I purchase a couple of new components. I'm considering a Ryzen 5 5600X processor and an RTX 9060 XT graphics card. I want to keep the rest of my current setup intact. My goal is to achieve 4K gaming at 60 fps, although I'm okay with making some compromises for the sake of performance. Right now, I'm using a 3GB GeForce 1060 and a Ryzen 5 1600. You can check the full parts list here: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/TH29h7. I'd really appreciate any help or advice!

Honestly, if you want better performance, the 5800 XT is a great option, especially with a solid cooler. Have you thought about upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700? I found a good deal on one in Australia.

You might want to check out this build link I found: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/8fxGsp. It suggests cheaper RAM options and a better SSD, plus a new cooler and PSU. It's worth a look for budget upgrades!

Consider going for the 9600X instead; it's only about $50 more and offers better performance. Just keep in mind that you'd need DDR5 RAM for it.

Before you buy anything, definitely update your BIOS! I have to point out that the RTX 9060 XT might not be the best choice for 4K gaming. If you're planning to dive into AAA titles, you might struggle with performance unless you lower the settings a lot. For a smoother experience at 4K, I'd recommend at least a 9070 XT. If you're mostly into less demanding games, the 9060 XT could work for you.
